Can I save Firefox to a disc and install on another Windows 7 tower?

I can't get online with IE8 on the other, windows 7 computer because is has blocked navigation to all pages but the Comcast activation page, and everything has been activated. I want to save Firefox to a disc and install it on the screwed up one and then disable access to IE8. How do I do that?

I tried turning off the firewall and changing the security settings on the Windows 7 system, but nothing works. It won't let me change the home page, search, or go to the Firefox download page, all navigation is blocked, citing invalid certificates. I tried to bypass that, but it doesn't work.

This tower has Windows 8.1 on it, and connects to the Internet with Firefox, although and I have trouble figuring out how to navigate it because it rejects files that would work on the other one because of self-detect settings. Thanks

You can (although I would use a USB drive rather than burning to a disk).

  • Navigate to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and save the copy of Firefox that applies to you.
  • Move it to a USB drive
  • Take that to your computer, and install it
  • If you are having trouble with the Comcast activation page, please call them.

Thanks Tyler! This worked, and the USB drive was much easier. For some reason the command prompt method wouldn't work but this method got around that. All fixed up with Firefox...appreciate it!
