Recently I cannot send a small volume picture without it dividing the email in parts, and the jpeg file I sent is received as numbers.
This is something that started very recently...say one month ago. I sent 2 less than 600kb pictures which were split into 3 groups, I assume by firefox. When the emails arrived they were not pictures but numbers.
Previously, I had sent pictures of several MB with no email splitting.
There must be some method of setting up the email to limit the number of MB to be sent.
Please help me find the way to make this work smoothly.

Was the problem with a webmail site you are using in Firefox, or with the Thunderbird email program?
When you use Firefox to operate your webmail site, the site itself handles the encoding of the attachments. Perhaps there was a problem when you uploaded the attachments? Which webmail site do you use?
I have the email come to me via my mozilla browser, I do not use webmail. (At least in my definition) So, I was using mozilla firefox. Sonic.net is my service provider.
Some time in the past I have seen pages, probably in IE8, where one could set the maximum email size limit. I cannot find that now. I do use malware bytes, and Norton internet security. In the past I have certainly sent megabyte emails. I do not typically send pictures.

It appears that I was ignorant of the fact that I use outlook express to handle my email. I had assumed that your browser handled my mail. When I realized that, I was able to get into the advanced tools and see that some program addition had changed my setting for out going mail limitations, causing outlook express to break up small files.
