Microsoft seems to have hijacked my laptop and when I try to download some attachments it forces me to use & pay for OFFICE: what is the alternative?
Sometimes the PDFs come up OK but others just come up as garbled text (and I can't work out the reason some work & others don't)

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
How is Microsoft taking over? What web address are you using?
