Need to create a question to create a login.
Just needed to create a question to create a login. Mozilla might want to think about giving users the ability to create a log in without having to ask a question. Alot of us probably just need a log in to reply to an existing post as is my case today.

Problem is this forum is getting spammed lately (mostly with tv shows streams) and if it was easier to get an account and post without making a question first then this forum may end end up seeing even more spam.
Most members may not even be aware of the spam unless they happen to see it before a mod/admin has marked it as spam and it is hidden.
easier not earlier.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.
We have asked for this to be changed.
You can click the "Volunteer for Mozilla Support" button on the https://support.mozilla.org page to go to the https://support.mozilla.org/get-involved page.

Debapriya Bhattacharya, that is not really the best way to give input about the Questions forum. It is more for feedback on Firefox for example.
Forum feedback input can be given in https://support.mozilla.org/forums/contributors
I'm sorry if my original post was taken the wrong way. I needed to create an account to provide feedback on another legitimate question. I didn't have any new questions to ask so creating this psuedo/dummy question was the only way to create an account so that's what I did. I figured everyone would just ignore it and take it for what it was and it would get buried under all the legitimate questions and not be seen.
Hello tarheel937. I too, had the exact same problem. For anyone else running into the same issue, I just created an account through the 'volunteer' link on the home page:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/get-involved
From there, go to 'answer questions'. At that point you can register and create a profile without actually asking OR answering a question. You then should be able to comment/reply on questions posted in the forum.
