Piling updates
Whenever Firefox (Pc, Windows 8.1) updates from a previous version it keeps both in my uninstall programs list. It doesn't seem to affect performance but i wonder if there is a fix for it. Thank you.

It is possible, after restarting Firefox, to go into the Uninstall Program list and right click to Refresh the list.
Does the second one go away?
Try to run a registry scanner.
