What is Firefox Sync - I haven't gotta a clue? Do I need it?
I usually just click on the Mozilla Icon, Goggle Search opens up, and away I go. So, what is this Sync, and do I really need it.

Hi! syncless, When you set up Firefox Sync on your computer, all of your data and preferences (such as your bookmarks, history, passwords, open tabs and installed add-ons) gets stored securely on the Mozilla servers. You can find all the other informations like how to set it up including a short, nice video can be found here. As far as the need of this is concerned I really recommend to use the Firefox sync because your all the data is stored and you can use it anytime and anywhere with any device with Firefox installed in it :)
