yahoo send me something to renew my firefox to updated because as of june 5 they will be discontinue support from Internet Explorer IE 8
i like to know if i do not updated to the foirfox they are staying. i updated to firefox 27 and do i have to update to thr one they are asking me to do. and how do you turn off firefox to update it.

Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated,
DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS.
While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Any time you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the web site of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to Mozilla.org. {web link}
