I have to share a computer and have many bookmarks. I use private browsing when possible but the bookmarks still show up in regular browsing. I would like to hide them but still be able to get at them when needed

On your computer, create a new user account for everyone that uses it. Firefox should keep everyone's data in the individual user folders.

As the computers owner, you should be the administrator. As such, you can make changes with the computers options that "just a user" can't.

On the computer, Windows Start > Control Panel > User Accounts.

You may be the only one listed. Select Add Or Remove User On the new window, select Add A User. Follow the prompts. When you are done, the other user can now have their own profiles and settings. You should decide whether you want anyone else to have administrator rights. Each users settings can be changed only by that user. Firefox stores profile information in the users own folder, so everyone should be separate.
