Around Jan. 4, I tried moving all of my Inbox contents to a new subfolder "Inbox 2025". This process was taking a long time and I didn't see it complete. Afterwards, I can start Thunderbird OK (version 115.3.1 (64-bit) running on a Windows 10 system). I see the new folder "Inbox 2025" and it seems complete. I also see other folders which look OK. But the incoming messages have frozen at 01/01/26 [for one e-mail account] and at 01/04/26 [for a second e-mail account.]
It is also true that all of my Thunderbird sessions end by crashing after a certain period of time. What can I do to restart Thunderbird so that it will connect with the relevant servers, get new messages and not crash?

I am unable to send emails from Thunderbird. Getting the message: An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: Connection from xx.xxx.xx.xxx refused.
When I check my password under "Tools - Security', I only see a password listing for my 'incoming' server [that I do not have a problem with].
My out-going server setup has "Authentication" as normal password. When I try to send an email, Thunderbird does not ask for a password. Is it possible the error message refers to lack of a password? If so, is there anyway to manually add an STMP password to Thunderbird?

Spectrum says everything on their end is fine but can't vouch for roadrunner who is the rr in my mail address of ca.rr.com. All this started about 4 days ago. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks.

I can no longer send emails. I can send them through mail web browser and was in touch with their technical support and the problem is not on their end. The message I get when trying to send an email is: "Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to outgoing server(SMTP) Promail.ptd.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing STMP connections. Please verify that your outgoing server (STMP) settings are correct and try again". I checked my outgoing server settings and they are correct. I started Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode and the problem still occurs. I started my Windows 10 in Safe Mode and the problem still occurs.

I could not find verification of safety for this add-on. I reluctantly installed but it wants permission to my whole computer so I uninstalled.
To me, this functionality is a necessary feature needed in Thunderbird. It merely creates default columns for all new subfolders. Could someone verify the safety of this add-on, recommend a safe option or add the functionality to Thunderbird. Thanks.

Hello, I am using TB 140.7.0esr. I have five email accounts in TB and all send emails but one. This one email receives IMAP emails, but will not send. All emails accounts are hosted on Godaddy Office 365. The one I am having issues keeps popping up the dialog box to enter password when sending. When I click on the button to add a new passoword, TB just tries sending again. It never shows the popup to enter the new password. I have deleted this account and installed new, still same issue, only on this one email acount.

When I have Thunderbird desktop running but I am focused in another application, I receive a popup notification when a new email is received. In the popup, there is an X to make the notification disappear, but it would be very handy if there was also a trash can icon where, if you clicked on it, the message would be deleted from your inbox without having to go back to the TB app. I didn't see any such options in TB settings, and I have searched the forum to no avail. I just started having a issue where it will be for example noon , and I just get a email , that is not on top but down the list and it says 9am , or similar times where it is 1 or more hours later from the time on the email , but it just showed up , but its down on the list of recent emails , so for example I check emails and a few come in or I get a notice that I have a new email
I have Thunderbird minimized in the taskbar , I never close it , and it will show a email from a few hours ago that just came in , but its below emails that I have already read that were after that time , so basically its like some emails just randomly appear that didn't get delivered when they were supposed to along with the others at that time , this is not a 1 time thing , this has happend several times over the last few days
I can't find any Setting that allows me to choose Newest Emails on Top , or to check the Time to see if it thinks its a different time of day than it is when delivering , or to bring in emails in order of delivery time , newest first and so on , so if a email has a Delivery time of 9:38 am I actually recieve it at 9:38 am , for example I got a email showing the time at 12:48 PM as delivered (10 minutes ago , but I just got the email now at 12:58 am) , then I got one time stamped at 11:15am , and 11:13 am , and at 9:38 am , , the 9:38 am email came AFTER I got the 11:15 email by about 30 minutes , and the one I just now got (it was 12:58pm when I got it , but it shows a time of 12:48 pm so 10 minutes difference from the time it shows delivered to the time I actually got it) , this is while my email is open and I am looking at emails ..... Email Version .. 147.0 ..
