There is a bar now on the side of my phone in landscape mode, it wouldn't be a problem except it is even present during full screen mode for videos. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it and it still comes up. It's not my phone because this only started happening on here and just started two days ago, before that this was the only browser I used now I have been using other ones to watch videos.

Recently, this new, exceptionally annoying tab auto-refresh feature on Firefox came to my attention that I hadn't experienced two or three years ago. I've been using Firefox mobile since 2015.

Whenever I fill out a form and switch to another tab or app, the website refreshes, causing me to lose all my progress.

Whose marvelous idea was this, and what on earth is the bloody purpose behind it?

Unfortunately, I haven't found any workaround to disable it so far. The about:config doesn't work on mobile.

I've read something about RAM resource management, but seriously, does this single tab really require management when most devices have 8 - 16 GB RAM these days?

Please help, I'm desperate for a solution!

I'm having trouble with Firefox on my mobile device. It was working fine yesterday but won't access the internet now. It runs but won't connect. All other programs on my device access it as always. Could I have unknowingly disabled it? I've made no changes to any of my settings for months. I don't want to lose the info it has acquired by reinstalling. Can you please help?

Sometimes, Firefox 114.2.0 for Android suddenly stops rendering pages or loading new pages.

• Try to search: instantly stops loading, completely white tab, address bar content changes to search
• Try to enter an address directly: doesn’t load, completely white tab, address bar contents stay the same
• Force quitting and reloading doesn’t change anything
• Clearing cache doesn’t change anything
• Clearing data fixes the problem, at the cost of losing all home-screen customization, extensions, and search engine customization, which aren’t synced with the Firefox account

I can't get any sites to load in my Firefox app since the update to 114.2. I have cleared my cache, forced a stop, and done everything else that's ever worked in the past short of uninstalling and reinstalling. It looks like 114.2 was supposed to fix this issue in older versions, but I'm still having issues.

Within the last couple days at least, firefox just does not load any sites on the phone. They simply show an empty page. Chrome will load the same site under the same network conditions.

I'm on Android 11, Oxygen 11.0.13.BE.89BA

Whenever I open up Firefox and enter a website or a google search nothing happens.

No loading screen, no crash, just nothing.

Uninstalling it and reinstalling it works once, but then the second time I open Firefox I'm back to the same issue.

Google Chrome works just fine, and I'm not having any issues related to data or wifi.

The browser stopped working since last week. Before when i opened the browser, i can see it loading. But nowadays, the loading is gone and only black screen is left. I cannot even access add-on. Its just loading

Periodically, the following bug occurs on different phones. I also found it in complaints on google play and I will take the text from there (you do not give a solution to the problem), but I will provide my screenshots. This is not the first time this issue has occurred, on various phones in my family. "I tried using it again, and EVERY website I try to access doesn't load. It just shows a gray screen and the lock in the URL bar is in the "connection is not secure" graphic. I can't even access about :config because it's also just a gray screen.HOWEVER, every other browser on my phone works." It helps to solve problems only by completely deleting all firefox files and then setting it up from scratch. It is unpleasant. I'm facing a problem with the Firefox app in my Android phone. The problem is that the picture-in-picture mode of Firefox is not working anymore since a Firefox update was issued somewhere in April 2023.

I have always actively been using the picture-in-picture mode and I'm wondering why it is not working anymore. I have gone through the settings in my Android phone (apps section) and the Firefox settings thoroughly but I couldn't find any solution.

In my Android phone, the picture-in-picture mode for Firefox is on (meaning effective) but I couldn't find a separate picture-in-picture mode inside the Firefox app settings itself.

Could you please explain why the picture-in-picture mode is not working and is there is a method how to turn it on (effective) in my Android phone? I have Motorola Moto G100 with Android 12 version.

Hello, for the past month when watching youtube through the firefox app, I am unable to use the media output feature of my phone (galaxy S21 FE) to stop/play videos. So for e.g. I used to be able to minimise the browser and listen to the audio only output. But now the audio stops when I minimise. Other applications are able to trigger the media output so that's not a problem with my phone.

My mobile phone is OnePlus 8 Pro. ColorOS 13.0/Android 13. Firefox ver 111.1.1.

I like playing YouTube video in floating windows over other apps as shown in 1st pic. Therefore I can open other app on phone while still watching video.

Here is my trick: Step 1: access m.youtube.com in browser then play a video. Step 2: Tap the full screen button (the square in bottom-right corner of the video screen ). The video screen enlarges and rotates from portrait to landscape full screen mode. Step 3: Use 3-button navigation. tap 'Home' button then mobile phone go to home page with the YouTube video displaying in a small window over other apps. The browser could be firefox or chrome. Both works fine for me for years. I prefer firefox.

However since last week, I can't play this trick in firefox. Chrome still works fine.

In firefox, the weird thing happened in step 2: after tapping the full screen button, the video displayed in portrait mode. It didn't rotate to landscape full screen mode. Please refer to pic 2.

Anyone has idea how to fix this? Many many thanks!

Version 112.1.0 does not show media control when playing YouTube and stops playing in the background. For example, with DTUBE playback, media control is present and background playback works as before. I activated the "video background playback fix" add-on, but it didn't help. On iOS, the version 112.1.0 has no issue with playing in background. What is the problem with Android?

Add the Play background option to videos and audio, pre-installed in settings, as it is in the Brave browser. The current Background Video Playback add-on does not fully play all video and audio background playback features, it does not fully work.
