Hello everyone, I tried to open Firefox but it just didn't open. Nothing happens when I click on my desktop icon. Tried as administrator, nothing. Tried refreshing, nothing. Reinstalling, nothing. The closest I got was after reinstalling but I still can't open any website or setting inside of the browser. Tried flushing the dns and also nothing. Pretty much out of ideas so if anyone has some advice it would be great, I'm running a HP laptop with Windows 10. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

I get the error msg. "Firefox is already running. Would You like to exit Firefox? Yes or No"

I enter Yes and Firefox starts normally. This usually happens after a Firefox update or sometimes when I exit Firefox normally. I use Windows 10 if that makes a difference.

Firefox browser does not open when I click on the short cup. Instead it opens 2 small windows, one is a website I visited previously and the other is Firefox settings. Why is this happening? I have Windows 10 on my computer but that should not have anything to do with the Firefox browser or search engine not opening. When it opened the small screen that only showed Firefox settings I clicked it to open in full screen and now there is no option to make the screen smaller or exit the Mozilla support page. And, now with this full screen I can't even do a screen shot to show you what I am talking about. Does anybody know what is going on with this?

After an update minutes ago, Firefox immediately crashes on startup and crash reporter launches Rebooted computer. Launched firefox from command line with -safe-mode and -purgecaches

This is when the online help says to submit a report with the most recent bp-numbers. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I keep getting the Firefox download page instead of the Firefox browser on my Windows 11 computer, even though I downloaded it several times after it was accidentally knocked off by some other program. How can I get it back to the Firefox browser?

I'm on Win10. This morning I see that MSLOP has updated my desktop PC overnight. FF was open before the update and attempted to restart but couldn't restore pages. I told it to start a new session and the PC blue screened. This has happened before so after the PC restarted I shut it down. It blue screened a few times while also trying to restart FF. I shut it down with the power button. FF will not start with troubleshooting (shift while double clicking on FF icon). It crashes and I get the crash window. Latest crash detail is below. What next? Any help is much appreciated.

UPDATE: I went to windows settings, apps, and clicked on uninstall for FF. Immediately a message box, "Would you like to refresh instead?" popped up. Sure, why not? It thought for a while and updated. I logged in again and I am back to a functioning 147.0.3. I logged into my bitwarden extension and ublock origin is still there. No clue what happened earlier.

When opening Firefox version 147 it asked if I wanted to install updates and after answering affirmative, then it gave "Error: Platform version '147.03' is not compatible with minversion >=147.02 maxversion <=147.02. Maybe try to reinstall Firefox?" The browser will not open. What is the workaround??

In my org - ever since the release of Firefox 146 - each time an update is rolled out on a WIndows 11 endpoint - Firefox is no longer able to launch.

This is resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the client. We've had no issues with the ESR release in my testing.

What changed? Anyone else experiencing this?

I had our security team take a look at the antivirus - they've confirmed we aren't blocking Firefox and they did not see any block reports.

No relevant policy changes have gone through around the time of the incident. Initially I suspected users were installing Firefox ESR from the Company Portal alongside the standard release - but confirmed this is not the case. Also ruled out browser extensions - error persisted across a config without any extensions.

Please let me know if there is troubleshooting info I can collect. I included info from my own browser, but I reinstalled on the 27th and it has been working since. However, it has broke specifically on the days new releases have come out.

firefox doesnt start and gives me this error If i uninstall the have a fresh, install, everything will work normally until i restart my pc
