idk where i must to say or why!n this doesnt help atall,but well...

i'v change my browser many hears ago for things like good addons,extension n like this reasons.. (sorryfor my poor english but i hope tht will be understandable.) but between some of them,more important was that opera 2times or maybe more ithink when outo update.or maybe 1time for i closed accidentally my tabs and all goen and hadnt any way for...

mozilla was good but idonno why this time all goen just by one click after i opened and clicked on download.or update button,that topright of screen pops EVERYTIME.wue!well,idk wht but w.o any clicks..miss clicks or whtevr,all tabs are remains but with out adressz or able to open.just nothing happening,like empty,umm,blank tabs.

i have all ma tabs bookmarks cuz it was important to me.bu idk how to open back all of them.ther are many and iv see many tabs in my history,but i wants last opened of a site,not all times i openes and many duplicates,not last time and not a click for all..

A couple of updates ago, I received the message that some of my bookmarks will not be available. So I ran through the trouble shooting FAQs and I ran into a problem. When I go into Manage Bookmarks and it brings up my now empty library, when I select Import/Backup then Restore, it will not show me any files to restore from. Additionally, I used Fx File Utilities and it show the corrupt entry that I cannot remove, but allows me to export the json file to an html file so I can import it, but once again, when I select Import from HTML, it shows me no available files to restore from. Lastly, I imported the html file in to Chrome and then tried the option to import from another browser, but again, it will not allow me to select anything.

I have confirmed the integrity of the db as instructed, etc. So I have run out of options. How can I get my 15+ years of bookmarks back?

No bookmarks, says in use by another application. Tried all troubleshooting ideas Can't change name or delete places or favicons - again says in use by another application. Disabled all add-on security.

I opened my computer several days ago. Firefox updated itself sometime recently while my laptop was closed. Once I opened it, it made me create a profile to continue. Now ALL of my history is deleted. All of my windows and tabs are gone. There is no history beyond the profile it made me create to continue using it. Is there any way to get back the previous history? This is about enough to make me give up on firefox completely.

Following downloading update version 146, I have been unable to open Firefox, all that happens is that a box appears stating (see images): firefox.exe - Bad image, then C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000000d.

After clicking OK on that box another one pops up stating:

Couldn't load XPCOM.

I have tried doing a Windows system restore, to try to take it back before it downloaded version 146, but this hasn't worked.

I've looked online and followed the advice there to download Firefox from your website, but that failed, just generating the XPCOM error.

My MAIN CONCERN at this point is that I do not want to lose all the bookmarks I had saved on my Firefox! I can't see any file within those in the Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder, so is there any other way to save\recover them?

I don't have any original "installation media" so as far as I can remeber Firefox was pre-installed on my PC?

I have a Samsung PC running Windows 10. There are two Mozilla Firefox folder under my C:\:

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox and C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox, under this folder the version is 146.0.0.383, but under the other folder it's version 145.0.2.579?

Please advise as to how to save my bookmarks and rectify this error.

I was using my computer normally until I noticed one of my applications had an error. I could not close the error message the normal way, so I decided it would be a good idea to hit the "end task" on the error message, which caused a blue screen error. "No worries," I thought, "I'll be able to get back to where I was right after my computer restarts." Oh, how wrong I was. Upon logging in to my computer, Firefox opened to... the screen I got when i first installed it? As it turns out, the Mozilla folder in my AppData folder was completely erased, along with all its contents. Is there a way to get my data back?

I opened a profile that I had just used recently to a blank tab bar. I closed it and the sessionstore-backup folder did not have a recent backup, The most recent about a week old.

Just for testing, I tried to restore with one of the upgrade.jsonlz4 file, about 2 weeks old, but it also had no session. I then restored one that was 2 months old. That one had a session

Now, Firefox no longer generates the upgrade.jsonlz4 files

I recently got kicked off wifi right as I was opening Firefox and it deleted the website data of ALL my tabs. I had loads of design references in this window. How do I recover? Screenshot attached. All that blank space is open tabs with no web adress at all. clicking on it converts it to a 'new tab'. Am I screwed?

The last time Firefox updated I lost all my bookmarks. Tried using the restore tool and it didn't work. Tried restoring from my USB drive, didn't work either. Can you PLEASE help??

After viewing a livestream on Mozilla browser my screen locked up and I had to restart/reboot. When it reloaded all my settings and presets on my homescreen were gone or changed? How can I restore my mozilla settings and profile to an earlier time to reset to my original settings?

I opened Firefox (V 145.0.2) on my Windows 11 laptop today and noticed that the starting window was the only one open, while I have had at least five windows open for quite some time. The "History|Recently closed windows" option is greyed out. I have closed and restarted Firefox dozens of times and my windows always came back until today. Is that window/tab history stored somewhere where I could recover it?

Thinking about backups of the browser state, I looked for my profile folder and discovered that it is empty - \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\mozilla is empty except for a file named vpn.moz. I then discovered that my profile seems instead to be stored under \Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Mozilla.Firefox_n80bbvh6b1yt2\LocalCache\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles with the folder name e5di8bjy.default-release I now learned that this location is standard for installation via the Microsoft store - the so-called MSIX version. But it is wrong that the "About"profiles" page shows that my profile is in the AppData\Roaming, not the Packages, location. When I try to open that profile folder, I get a message telling me that it is not available on this computer. It seems like the profile info should be aware of the actual location?
