Block e=forwarded url redirect?

My ISP, Time Warner, is moving their webmail server and have provided customers with a new webmail address and disabled the old one. When I type the new url, firefox redirects to the old, unusable url followed by /?e=forwarded. I cannot log in on the old url page. I can log in on the new url page using chrome.

I have removed all Time Warner cookies from firefox, I have deleted the old url from the history list, and I have tried the "no redirect" firefox addon, all to no avail.

Is there something else I can do to prevent firefox from loading the old, no longer usable sign in page? Or is there something Time Warner needs to do on their end?

Have you tried to access the URL from a Firefox installed on a different computer running Windows 7?

It is recommended that you use the latest version of Firefox(26.0).

I am using Windows 7. I also tried on my iPad using iOS 6. On both devices, only chrome allows me to go to the functional Time Warner sign in page.

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I already cleared problem cookies. Is there a way to clear individual cached pages in firefox? Tools/advanced....only shows clear entire cache, unless I'm missing something?

I downloaded an addon that lets you toggle the cache on and off. Was about to try it when - voila - the redirected page let me log in again.

Clearly, this was a Time Warner problem as I changed nothing on my laptop and iPad. Would have saved me and all the nice folks who've helped me out here a lot of time if they'd admitted that when I called.

Unless you're a time warner subscriber, you won't be able to test it.

They changed webmail.nyc.rr.com to webmail.nyc.rr.com/?=forwarded. This page is forwarded from: mail.twc.com

However, it looks like it was a problem on Time Warner's side, as I can log in to the =forwarded page today, and I made no changes.
