</p><p>Went through the about:config instructions and changed my permission to load from "3" to "1"
</p><p>NOW, the big questions is, how the @#$! did that get changed? I've never seen that about:config page and certainly didn't change it!

All options checked - Yahoo and other sites (kohls, walmart, most shopping sites) load but pictures of items, news stories and buttons that contain images still do not show up in Firefox - but do in IE.
</p><p>Went back through all suggestions in the above listed replies - had followed these links originally before posting question, but did go back through and made sure I had followed all of them. Only suggestion not followed was regarding the graphics card/driver, as nothing seems affected but pictures in Firefox

Additional Info: at <a href="http://yahoo.com" rel="nofollow">yahoo.com</a>, the advertisement to the right shows picture/flash media, etc., but the pictures for the 'top news stories' scroller do not show, nor do the images for the buttons to &lt;&gt;, etc.
