I wish to download/install Firefox 8 on my Windows XP notebook (Asus) and to that end I have uninstalled the older Firefox version from my computer. Before this I would simply update without uninstalling previous Firefox versions.

Presently and as a result, I find myself unable to download the Firefox 8 web browser via the Windows Explorer web browser in the sense that I can download the setup.exe program but that at the end of the extraction stage it 'disappears' without warning or trace.
