A couple of months ago I tried the Nightly Build as my dial-up browser and loved it - it was super fast - but my computer broke and after I got it fixed I had to download the latest Nightly, and it's way slower than before. I had my first Nightly set up to cache everything to disk, and that made my frequently visited web sites load real quick, but on this latest build everything seems to be loading directly from the web sites instead of from my disk cache. I normally have my browser disk cache enabled and my browser cache memory disabled, but on this latest Nightly I noticed some new browser cache categories in about:config

browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled browser.cache.disk.smart_size.first_run browser.cache.disk.smart_size_cached_value

Perhaps I don't have those items configured correctly to direct everything to my disk cache?

If you want to be a Tester and test these unstable builds then you may get better help in http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 where many testers hang out. Only you will have to register there in order to post in that section.
