firefox 8.0a1 keeps requesting for Windows Media 11 plugin. Even though I downloaded it, continues requesting for it.
Recently, I downloaded Nightly 8.0a1. Since then, Everytime that I go to a site that provide some type of sound and/or video, Nightly request for Windows Media Player 11 plugin. I downloaded it several times but, to no avail because the problem persist.
Hope you can help me...

I even downloaded the latest Windows Media Player install and it still does not work even when you follow the directions for installing for other browsers and builds. The problem with 64 bit is the plugins folder does not exist in Nightly and without knowing how the Nightly finds it's plugins since there is no central location there is no way to place the new MS Media player .dll file to this location.
Flash finally has a plugin that works now with the latest nightly of course Java and Divx also work with the nightly fine - now only to get the Windows Media Player working and all will be good in the world.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit and the latest Nightly July 23, 2011 also 64 bit. One day they'll only have 64 Bit OS and all software supported and running this way.
