After a Java upgrade, Firefox now opens twice on start-up and closing one closes both.

After recently upgrading Java, Firefox now opens twice except the second Firefox doesn't contain all the tabs of the original Firefox. Closing one Firefox closes both. In Task Manager thee is only one Firefox task running and only one Firefox.exe process running. I have since migrated to Firefox 4, but no change. Still two Firefoxes open when Firefox is started.
