Old homepage appears when Firefox opens.

I recently changed my homepage. However, when I first open Firefox, my old home page appears. When I click the HOME icon, my new home page opens. This happens consistently. In my Internet Options, my home page is set correctly and "When Firefox Starts - Show My Home Page" is set. This problem does not occur if I use IE. I am using Firefox 3.6.12 on an Windows XP OS.
