Freezing/glitching on certain websites

Within the last 2 weeks I have noticed freezing/glitchy performance on certain websites. Facebook is the worst probably because I spend a lot of time on it. When I click on pictures or memes that a friend has posted the picture will popup but then the X doesn't work to exit back to my FB page. I either have to back-arrow or refresh the whole page and then click on the home button. I was on the RiteAid website a couple of days ago and when I tried to access my cart to delete an item there was an annoying loop going on that wouldn't allow me to proceed or do anything else. On Chrome there was no problem. On Realtor.com when clicking on pictures of listings I am unable to then click on the map (upper left hand corner) to access the map of the property - the links do not work at all. I use a VPN and tried turning that off but did not solve the problem.

The first thing you should do if Firefox is running slow is check for Firefox updates. Keeping your browser up to date will eliminate many sources of slowdown. Select the three bars to open the menu and choose Help > About Firefox.
