I want to make a dynamic theme that changes when switching macOS between Light and Dark modes. Any way to examine System theme's code?

Is there any way I can get ahold of the code for System theme - for example, is it stored somewhere on my computer? I'm reading up on dynamic themes, but the example code is for automatic theme changing based on time of day. I'm hoping that, if I can get the code for triggering a theme change by switching between Light and Dark modes, whether from System theme or from another source, I can save myself a lot of time.
