A few weeks ago, I had an iMac meltdown. When the repair was finished, I no longer had any of my browser history or preferences, though the tech was able to save my bookmarks. But there's one thing I can't figure out, in terms of restoring Firefox in a way that duplicates how I had it.

At the top of a Firefox page, when multiple tabs are open, I used to have a button to the right of the most recent tab, near the + sign, that gave me a vertical list of all open tabs. That's gone, and although I've looked through all my preferences, I can't fine one that brings it back.

Thankful for any suggestions!

Hi Rob, usually that button only appears when the bar has reached "overflow" and scroll buttons appear at the left and right of the tabs bar. To display the button all the time, try this change:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste tabman and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled preference to switch the value from false to true

This will take effect the next time you Quit and restart Firefox.

It worked. Thank you for the clear instructions, @jscher2000.

As is probably obvious, I almost always have an overflow of tabs open, which makes me very thankful for the OneTab extension.
