Thunderbird not saving new URL
I am long time TB user. I have changed hosting companies many times. For some reason Password manager shows original hosting and original user name but new password. If I delete all entries and check my emails I am asked to input new password and I check password manager check box but after I looked at saved passwords new URL is not there and new user name is not there but new password is. And the biggest amusement is that it still logs in. So somehow it displays old info but internally it uses new URL and new user name and new password. I have delete key4.db and started all over again but somehow it pulled old stuff from somewhere. Does anyone one know how to fix it?
Thank you.

Changing the host doesn't necessarily mean the domain changes too. If you simply transfered your domain to a new host/registrar, then the url hasn't changed.
I changed the host name in TB. Password manager list the new host URL in the box where the "Use password manager" check mark is but not in the section where ALL URLs are. In that section it lists only the first URL that was created originally. For example 1and1.com with the user name of 1-123456 while now I have hostmetro706.com with my user name. I am no longer with 1and1.com. Yet automatic login work. I can't figure out where the old info is stored so I can change it.

I changed the host name in TB under server name. Password manager list the new host URL in the box where the "Use password manager" check mark is but not in the section where ALL URLs are under Tools/Options/Saved Passwords. In that section it lists only the first URL that was created originally. For example 1and1.com with the user name of 1-123456 while now I have hostmetro706.com with my user name. I am no longer with 1and1.com. Yet automatic login work. I can't figure out where the old info is stored so I can change it.
There is actually a layer of abstraction in server names. What you are seeing is the password manager displaying the original name for the server/Account and everything else uses the second layer of abstraction that uses the server name shown in account settings.
I forget the actual preference names, but if it is important I could probably find them again. But generally I just put it down to one of the quirks of Thunderbird.

So, is there any way to fix it? It is very confusing because I don't know which entry belongs to which account.
