Sound not going to wireless headset even though settings are correct

Just got a bluetooth headset. Works on my music player, but not on youtube or soundcloud or probably anything in Firefox. I am on the Firefox 76.0.1 on Ubuntu 18.04. Settings: Sound set to Headset Riff Wireless; Bluetooth has Riff Wireless connected. The sound works, but is still coming out of my computer on Firefox. Don't have another browser to test it. Thanks in advance for your help!

I haven't used a bluetooth device with Firefox for many years, no need for it any longer; but years ago I found that launching Firefox (or restarting Firefox) after connecting the headphone was what I needed to do on a Windows OS.
