I have a strange font that has randomly appeared in my search bar and in the tabs and other areas in firefox, latest version. I recently installed a large font pack, but did this on another computer with no issues. i tried getting rid of it, don't know how, your articles dont seem to answer this issue, the general font setting didnt work either, please help, or i will discontinue use of this browser

Did your font pack replace the default Windows fonts Arial and/or Times New Roman?

The settings in Firefox don't allow you to change the font that the Firefox interface uses. The only way to do that would be by using a userChrome.css file (see example), which certainly isn't the easiest thing in the world and it's probably something that you would remember doing.

that doesn't answer how this happened nor how to get rid of it. i uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled, same issue. I reinstalled windows default fonts, in case those two were replaced, but i don't think they were. everything was fine on my other computer. there has to be a way to fix this.. its very suspicious imo

Please refresh your firefox browser. This will delete all addons as well as any settings which are saved for firefox on your computer. Follow the link below to refresh the firefox browser

Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page. You'll be warned that this will remove your browser add-ons, reset your customizations, and revert other browser data to the default settings. Click “Refresh Firefox” to confirm you want to make these changes
