How do I prevent tabs from forcefully switching me to them?

Automatically switches my window to it every 1-2 seconds. Unlike when an alert takes me to a tab, Firefox offers no hint as to how to prevent this for a domain/page. How can I prevent this?

That does not happen to me.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
