I like Mcfee Webadvisor but... but Firefox says nope... but I say YUP!
I have avoided updating Firefox to keep Mcafee Webadvisor running,but recently I made a mistake and somehow Firefox updated and Mcfee no longer works. I see Mcfee Webadvisor updated in late April so they are doing their part. I have used this for years to keep my box running good and I trust them when it comes to sites and the proof is in the pudding. It has worked. I like seeing it block a site. I understand Firefox claims to now do a better job of knowing sites, but I trust Mcfee Webadvisor more. Please work with them, or have them work with us... or something.... but simply saying "Mcfee Webadvisor is blocked and that is that" is not acceptable.
Thank you for anything we can do on this.

There was a Bug-A-Boo with a Certificate Expiration Date dealing with the Add-ons. There's a new FF Version with the main Fix, 66.0.4.
Mozilla Blog Post Update:
A Firefox release has been pushed — version 66.0.4 on Desktop and Android, and version 60.6.2 for ESR. This release repairs the certificate chain to re-enable web extensions, themes, search engines, and language packs that had been disabled (Bug 1549061).
There are remaining issues that we are actively working to resolve, but we wanted to get this fix out before Monday to lessen the impact of disabled add-ons before the start of the week. More information about the remaining issues can be found by clicking on the links to the release notes above.

There is a problem with an expired intermediate certificate that is used to sign extensions. This is being worked on by the Add-ons team.

At about 6:10 PST we received a report that a certificate issue for Firefox is causing add-ons to stop working and add-on installs to fail. Our team is actively working on a fix. We will update as soon as we have more information.

Mozilla has rolled-out a fix for this. The fix will be automatically applied in the background within the next few hours, you don’t need to take active steps.
In order to be able to provide this fix on short notice, they are using the Studies system. You can check if you have studies enabled
- Go to [=] > Options > Privacy & Security.
- Make sure Allow Firefox to install and run studies is check marked.
I you had it disabled, you can disable studies again after your add-ons have been re-enabled.
They are working on a general fix that doesn't need to rely on this and will keep you updated.

Thank you very much for your replies cor-el and Chris, it is great to hear this will be solved.
I have seen the Mcfee running in the background (meaning although Firefox said it was not allowed, I would still see the warning screens come up when I stumbled in to some where not good for me.) and that is fine with me, as long as it is there.
I need all the help I can get. I know some site will "get me" no matter what, but anything that can help me, without being to much hassle, is most welcome. Mcfee seems to do a good job of that. I have read it will block some sites by mistake, but I figure if better safe than sorry. If I was running an honest safe site which (when tested) was blocked by Mcfee, I would do the things needed to not be blocked.
Again Chris and cor-el, I really appreciate your time, information and good news. I will avoid going to/using web sites where I might be unsolicited sent/rammed over to "radiations suit recommended'' web pages... until the fix is implemented.
I heavily rely on McAfee WebAdvisor when I do research. The add-on totally disappeared from my Firefox browser, but it works with Chrome. How will we know when this will be fixed?
