using quantum, 60.6.x

well, this is a no brainer: browser will not remember previous session if you clear the browsing data on exit. i want to both. i want to clear the browsing data on exit, and also be able to restore previous sessions:

clever internet programmer: that isn't possible me: like 'duh'

before the conversation goes that way, i want to say that i'm asking for an enhancement feature - to clear browsing data EXCEPT for the data needed to restore my sessions, which is something you guys probably already thought of, but may not have because of all the other fires you're expected to put out

Clearing data when you close Firefox prevails and if you clear the browsing history then it isn't possible to restore the previous session. You would have to clear the history manually yourself before you close Firefox (Clear Recent History; Ctrl+Shift+Delete). Clearing history this way doesn't affect session restore, only clearing history automatically does affect this. Cookies data is stored in the sessionstore file and probably will survive a restart.

do you want to take a vote from your customer which order they would prefer for their history to be deleted. the restore previous sessions is a favorite of a lot of people. i'll bet they would want exactly the same thing that i'm asking for here. but i could be wrong. i wouldn't know for sure
