When I try to launch Firefox it opens up the Mozilla crash reporter window. I tried to launch Firefox in safe mode but that gave the same result as well.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.

Can you use another computer to download the full Firefox installer and possibly some malware scanning software?
