how to remove side bar
The side bar is always present, if I log into Gmail. it appears in the side bar and is not useable. I want to close the side bar completely

Hello jontes,
Question : Do you use a bookmark to go to your Gmail ?
If so, would you do this :
Press Ctrl + Shift + B, which will take you to the Library. Look for the Gmail entry in question and highlight it. At the bottom of the page, click on 'More' and make sure that 'Load this bookmark in the sidebar' is unchecked.
