Hi dunkfunk, are you backing up your currently live profile folder? You can access that from inside Firefox 49 using the steps in this article: [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]] Are you trying to update to Firefox 57? Firefox 56 made a lot of changes, so maybe it would help to first update to Firefox 55. You can find an installer here: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/55.0.3/mac/en-US/ If you want a different language other than U.S. English, you can click the .. link at the top of the list and then click into the applicable language/locale code. I think the way to install that is to "trash" the current firefox.app and then install the new .dmg file. If Firefox suggests cleaning things up with a Refresh, don't do that, or your data will be moved to your desktop in an Old Firefox Data folder.
