Encoded URLs on a page are being decrypted and not sending the full URL to the website

It would seem some URLs I'm sent via email do not load correctly, as if they are uri decoded prior to the browser sifting out the anchor tag. For example, one URL I've been sent is (like):

https://awebsite.domain/recover-password/q00t%2BnmNcP-xvM%40Ad%23-aYznR%5Dk--%7B%7CFD

Which has an encoded hash as part of the URL path. Unfortunately, Firefox wrongly strips this part onwards from the details it passes to the web-server. Given this part of the URL is encoded, it shouldn't trigger the browser to cut it out, but it does, counter to the norm set by all other browsers.
