Task bar “jump-list” options is only partial. It used to work fine a few days ago. Only choices are: Firefox, unpin and close. Formally there were options such as open new tab, open new window, browse in private, list of Frequent sites, etc.

To fix this I have tried: 1. While Firefox is running, right-click the taskbar icon and choose Unpin this program from the taskbar. Then right-click the icon and choose Pin this program to taskbar. 2. Uninstalling and reinstalling 3. Steps 1&2 4. Restarting computer after 1&2

Firefox install program: Firefox Setup 46.0.1 Windows 10 [W10 apparently does not make it easy to just right-click the taskbar and choose Properties, then click the Start Menu tab and ensure something like “Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar” could be checked. Even searching in the “control panel” for combinations of “store and display” did not provide meaningful results]
