Firefox crashes when adobe flash plugin is active

I am having an issue with Adobe Flash Player. I have tried un-installing it using the Adobe un-installer and then re-installing it (Version 20.0.0.235). I am on Windows 8.1 and the latest version of firefox. I am OK ONLY if I disable the Plugin. If I activate it and try to delete History or access any pages with Adobe Flash content, firefox will crash.
