I cleared cookies and history. Now my usual sites will not save user ID. I go into Security on Mozilla and the box to click save Passwords is not available. I cannot click on it.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
