avast shouws that firefox has mailwere ,but i scanet it dont i dont know what to do its not showing on another browsers

Sometimes avast! is finding a bad add-on, and in other cases, it's just a cookie. How much detail can you get about it from avast? Here's my suggested procedure for tracking down and cleaning out bad add-ons. Sorry for the length -- it's not as bad as it looks: (1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date.
