How to add searchable notes/keywords to my incoming and outgoing emails which can help me finding an email related to a specific note/keyword. Please help.

You can 'star' messages, this is kind of like a bookmark. Right - click a message - Mark - Add Star You can then filter for 'stared' messages.
You can add tags to messages. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Tags
