[article] This article claims there is an "AI Controls" section in Settings. This is not found in v 147.03 (up to date) for Mac. Please let me know how to disable all AI in Firefox.

Very often, Firefox asks at startup: “Should I open Firefox every time I restart my computer?” I don’t need this function, how can I remove this request forever?

There are only two buttons: 1. Yes, open Firefox 2. Not now :(

Looking at my Firefox 147.0.1 settings for macOS 26.2 (Apple M1), I'm trying to adjust two settings:

-- I'd like to remove Languages -> English (GB) (its existence has odd side effects, like triggering United Airlines to offer fares in Pounds Sterling, and I'd prefer to just have English (US))

-- I'd like to disable Play Audio and Video for about:welcome (in regular and private windows)

I can see no way to accomplish this currently -- why?

Hello! I have a damaged 4,7 GB Sent folder (file). Unfortunately, the antivirus or else software did something, so the folder in Thunderbird is shown but empty. I did try to rebuild and fix in Thunderbird but this did not work. How can I rescue my mails? I searched how to disable any random new AI features Firefox was about to cram into the browser.

I was served this support page that says I can "Block new and current AI features (single switch)"

Simply, the described feature to disable AI features isn't in the settings. I've look and tried searching for "Block AI enhancements" & "AI controls" but no luck.

Please tell me they haven't given the writing of support pages to some shitty LLM.

Using the back arrow key at the top left of the screen is crucial to my daily work. The Alt+Back Arrow key as suggested in your new "short cuts" is not working. The pull down of history shows my Corporate name, which is no help to finding the item I was just working on. How can having this simple function of clicking on the back arrow key be brought back as not having it at this time, makes me start the process of searching all over again, which is time consuming and simply makes no sense.

I would like access to Firefox Stories but the policy setting for FirefoxHome Stories is false. How do I get to these settings to change the false to true?

Until about a week ago the stories showed up on the New Tab. There is a side section on New Tab for customizing and the section had an option to see the stories. Now that section has no reference to the option.

Any suggestions?

In order to change settings on my android phone directions are to open the menu by clicking the three bars and selecting settings but SETTINGS does not show up by following those directions.

I dont remember what shows but if i try to open the 3 bars now I will lose this question and have to start over which is why I am typing the question all over again.

Current Permission Settings for Firefox to open links is set to DONT OPEN LINKS

How can I change this to ALLOW TO OPEN LINKS.

Its a big problem because I have Firefox set as Password Manager but when I get emails from sources such as banks or medical or government they wont open and so I cant get to the documents or url they send me.

I am aware of the risk of opening links that might pose security threat so I want to be able to decide for myself. I dont know how this got set to not open links. Maybe Google because they are always changing settings and adding apps WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION.

So sometimes when I set up a new account and say YES TO SAVE PASSWORD it ends up being saved to Google Settings instead
