I permanently deleted all my emails in my inbox and all the folders underneath is there a way to get them back? Can you force a download to this computer, [redacted]@peoplepc.com, from say 7-9-26? I am hoping to God you have a back up.... I lost so much stuff that I need.

Hi, I have a Yahoo account in Thunderbird. Every time I try to create a folder, it doesn't appear immediately. I have to close Thunderbird and reopen it to see the new folder on my folder list. This doesn't happen with other email accounts, like Gmail or NetworkSolutions, only with Yahoo.

Thank you for any information on how to correct it, or whether other people are having the same problem.

trying to sort my inbox by sender to consolidate ones from a sender. found a solution but could not figure out how. said:

In my Thunderbird I have some folders with names printed italic starting with "INBOX". The folders are empty, so it's easy to delete them. After deleting I don't see the folders anymore. But after shutting down Thunderbird and starting Thunderbird again, the folders are back... How do I delete the folders to not see them anymore?? (see also attached screen print)

Have been using Juno Email Accounts for past 10 years with Thunderbird Email Client Program for downloading Emails off the cloud. It is now more difficult to make contact with Juno for Tech Support. To do Email one has to have an Email Address and Password ... THEN they need the Incoming Email Server with the Type of server ( POP, SMTP, IMAP ) . Long Story Short it is now Impossible to Install Mozilla Thunderbird onto Win10 Machines.

I am transferring my thunderbird folder to a new computer and it is 235 GB. I dont understand why it is so large. Are ALL my emails being saved? How do I delete so I can make smaller??

Until recently I could click and hold and drag a message from my inbox to any other folder that I had on the left of the screen. It just recently stopped doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Thunderbird 140.12.1esr (64-bit) on a windows 11 pc.

I am trying to transition from Windows 10 to 11 but cannot log in to my AOL email account on the Windows 11 device. A message comes back "Edge: Too many requests". Presumably this refers to Windows Edge? although I have set Firefox as the default browser. I have set up my Gmail account without problem and the AOL configuration is correct. I can log in OK if I visit the AOL webpage and also still log in from the Windows 10 device. Any help would be gratefully received.

PRELUDE: I have several email accounts. All accounts display properly, except one. Yes, this is similar to my question about bottom of the far left [of emails] list of emails - but this is different.

On the far left of Thunderbird is a list of all my email accounts with "Inbox" etcetera. Each email account shows it's Inbox/Sent/Deleted/ except for 1 account. The problem email account only shows it's Title and Inbox northing else. Yes, I tested it and sent emails to it, and used the problem email account to send, create a draft, and they don't show..

I'm planning to change my email provider and during the transition period I need to have the old and new accounts running concurrently. The help article states:

".....you can create additional profiles, each with their own set of account configurations, messages, etc. (Note, each profile can access multiple email accounts''.) .

but I can't see how this would work. If anyone can explain in simple terms how to achieve this, or point me to the relevant information I should be most grateful.

Hello all:

After migrating to a new machine I finally have TB set up and running nicely. As I checked the individual settings and C: folders for the e-mail accounts under the server settings for each account (there are two, law and business), and the local folders (for long term e-mail storage, under Local Folders, Local Directory settings), I discovered the C: folder for the Law e-mail account is gigantic - when I check the properties in File Explorer it comes back as 331 GIG, yes, gig. More disturbing is that most of this appears to be "dark matter" that does not "show up." I total the visible files and folders inside that location and it is roughly 150 meg.

For comparison, the folder directory for Business e-mail account is only 24.9 gig, and the directory for the local folder for long term e-mail storage only clocks in at 11.1 gig.

Any ideas why the law firm e-mail account C: drive storage would be this large, with so much of it not visible?

- Thunderbird set up 19/05 & email/ history /folders downloaded - Moved from DNS to GANDI Email server provider this week but now all folders/historic email are no longer visible in Thunderbird email - How do I get them back and how do I synchronise Thunderbird & Gandi so that emails shown in WEBMAIL include all History and not just new emails since Gandi switched on? SIMPLIFY THUNDERBIRD IT IS EXCESSIVLY COMPLEX. I CANNOT EVEN SEE HOW TO MOVE MESSAGES FROM THE INBOX TO THE RELEVANT FOLDER IN MY LIST. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE FIREFOX AND THUNDERBIRD ARE OVERCOMPLEX AND NEED SIMPLIFIED. SIMPLES. WHY CANT I COPY AND PASTE THE VERSION NUMBER. BLOODY ARESHOLES . AS I SAID IT IS BLOODY OVERCOMPLEX. AT THIS POINT I AM CONSIDERING GIVING UP ON WHAT IS CLEARLY AN OVERCOMPLEX PIECE OF SOFTWARE THAT REALLY DOESN'T LOOK GOOD EITHER AND THERE IS NO OFFICIAL SUPPORT SO WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR AN ALTERNATIVE. My wife has been using Thunderbird successfully for many years (and we also donate to Mozilla from time to time) - she's been using her email account ([edited] @frontier.com) for at least 15 years, even after it was transferred over to the Yahoo email server a couple of years ago. Also, she has Windows 11.

Just in the last week, she has experienced serious problems (messages duplicating themselves over & over, & then not being to get any more new email at all (last email she got was on June 28th).

We've upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird, & I even completely uninstalled & re-installed Thunderbird. I'm at the end of my knowledge & tried everything I know. I'd even be willing to pay for someone's services if we can get these problems fixed.
