Installed new Linux OS, forgot password to profile when opening firefox, created new password, logged into my Profile which has the correct user picture, but all my passwords and bookmarks are gone. ( I want to cry man..)

Home Page desktop bookmarks gone. Recent updates to both my deskyop (win 11) and laptop (win 10+) has erased all my desktop bookmarks. I tried numerous setting in Mozilla but still nothing. How do I get them back ?

Despite re-installing Firefox sidebar is still missing (I spent 3 full days trying to fix it before re-installing). I also can't obtain another tab - I'm restricted just to the one page I'm currently using

Even when I search for AVG, the same msg is shown. If I use Chrome or AVG Secure browser, there is no error msg.

Firefox keeps crashing/hanging on startup. Any other browser I use is fine. Been using Firefox for years and would like to keep using it. This has been going on since August, so I have not really been using it since then. Tried all the troubleshoot steps that Mozilla recommends but still crashing e.g reinstall, fresh install.

As you are likely aware, our internet environment is severely restricted, with all major social media platforms and communication services being heavily filtered. Accessing the open internet is virtually impossible without a reliable VPN.

In light of these conditions, I kindly request that you consider increasing the current 50 GB monthly limit, if feasible. Even a temporary increase for users in Iran would be immensely appreciated and would significantly assist us in staying connected.

Hello, I'm having trouble using the built in VPN, once I press on it and do everything (connect with my account etc) it doesn't let me use it, it still tells me to do everything again. I was wondering how I could fix this issue and use it.

When I try to attach several (more than three) small email sized jpeg files, my Yahoo email tries to load them, then re-load them, and ultimately gives a splash screen, that says, "Cannot be saved, as a draft", and locks up. The files are 1mb, or less, This was never a problem, before Firefox, and Yahoo issued "new, improved" versions, of their software. If I only attach about three files, at a time, let it attach them, then attach more files, it will attach them with no issue, and I can send the email. This does not seem to be a problem with other browsers.

The new 157 release broke something when pasting a webpage into OneNote.

Having the entire URL to the actual pasted page saved a step. Now I have to copy the address out of the address bar and copy it to OneNote manually.

Reduce the width of the form and then open the top menu bar, or trigger and display the menu bar. The maximize and close buttons on the top right side will not be fully displayed. You can refer to the GIF animation below.

For the last several weeks, one of my computers when it updated to the new settings menu (version 156ish?), it has lost the ability to maintain some of the synced profile settings. For example, I have a couple websites that I list in the exceptions to not have Firefox clear the cookies, and I additionally have the clear cookies and site data check box enabled so that every other website I visit clears upon exiting. This is the setting combination I have utilized for years to keep the cookies from only 2 websites and clear out everything else.

On one of my computers, I'm able to add the exception, and as long as I do not close Firefox, the website exception settings stick. However, as soon as I exit Firefox, and open it back up, the settings clear themselves again, and I have to manually enter the exceptions again. This is very frustrating because one of the sites that I keep the cookies on the exception list has multiple different logins saved so that I don't have to manually re-login to every time I open Firefox.

I have attempted a refresh, and that did not fix the problem. I have fully uninstalled Firefox, manually deleted the %APPDATA%\Mozilla\ folder contents, reinstalled foxfire and this too does not fix the problem.

The weirdest part of this whole issue is my laptop, does not have this problem and the exceptions are sticking so I know that this setting combo works. Additionally, I have tried unchecking the clear cookies and site data box and this too is not allowing the exceptions to stick.

I have also tried re-syncing my account to pull the settings from my laptop and this too is not working.

This experience is on Firefox 157.0.1 (64-bit), Windows 11 Pro 26H2

I have been having random crashes Firefox Snap on Kubuntu 24.04 (and now 26.04). Sometimes Firefox will run stably for over an hour, sometimes it will crash in less then a minute from (re-)launch. I have tried the usual troubleshooting steps of 'run in troubleshoot mode', 'refresh', disable plugins, but the crashing seems to happen even when running in troubleshoot mode. I also have not been able to figure out any kind of event or user-action that triggers the crash; it might happen while browsing, it might happen while I am not even at my computer. At first I thought 'the Devs will handle this', but it has been some 6 months so I think my case is not very common/pressing to the community. I'd like to take a more proactive approach in solving the problem. I am still a novice at software fixing, so I might have skipped or missed a very basic step in the '10 things to try to fix Firefox'.
