installed new modem-router but does not connect.It states that it is connected to my server but mail does not download.Spoke to Spectrum tech,everything is fine there and I can connect to my server email on the same internet

Mail does not use the same ports as web browsing. It would not be the first time a US based Internet service provider issued new modems/Routers that actually blocked access to mail ports by default.
