No! When I click on the firefox icon I always get the message: Make Firefox your default browser! Even though I have previously indicated that I wish to make Firefox my default browser.

Hi Herman, that's strange. Normally each browser you run will want to make itself the default, so it's possible that it actually is a different browser. It's also possible that Firefox is not correctly detecting that it already is the default browser.

To test which it is, before making Firefox your default again, try loading a link at the Windows system level and see which browser it chooses. You can use the Run dialog (hold down the Windows key and press R, or use the "lower" start screen with the small icons) and simply paste in a URL such as the following and press Enter to run it:

https://www.mozilla.org/

Do you get Firefox, IE, or something else?
