My inbox Sub Folders have disappeared on one computer only (Windows 11) And, only one email account. Apparently the emails they contained are still there but not visible.

Dragging and dropping multiple local folders has worked for quite some time now. But recently (since last week?) I can no longer do that. I am forced to drag single folders. My workflow requires the ability to drag multiple folders often during the day so this is a great inconvenience.

I am currently using V150.0 64 bit on a desktop running Windows 11.

As of April 4 midnight my yahoo account in Thunderbird just stopped receiving incoming pop messages nor can I send. According to Yahoo, it showed that Thunderbird had access. Thunderbird showed how many new messages to download, but then does nothing but hang and time out. I have removed all stored yahoo passwords; I have removed yahoo permissions in yahoo in order to start over. I get the normal log in screens to add permission with oauth2, signed into yahoo account in yahoo and it shows thunderbird has access, yet Thunderbird still can NOT access yahoo mail (download pop or send smpt). YES MY SETTINGS are correct. They haven;t change since before April 4 midnight. I need this account active again. HELP!!! email to X@hotmail.com with Yahoo in the subject line: According to THunderbird, I have version 140.9 esr. when I press check for updates it says I'm up to date. Although the yahoo help page says as of March 2026 version 148. confused. Bill

So I have Thunderbird set to autosave every 5 mins.

I was drafting an email, where I had written quite a lot of text (as a reply) and for some reason my text went missing and there was no undo in edits

So I quit and went to drafts, nothing there.

I checked and autosave is on for 5 mins.

hit reply again. typed in some text, set a timer for 12 mins, quit.

Again, no save.

So why is "Auto Save ever " x mins not working?

Email older than several weeks in mail subfolders is blank in Thunderbird and looks like binary within buffer D:\WORKSPACE\Computer Tech\Config & Buffers\Thunderbird Stuff\Profiles\dq1ljd8g.default\Mail\Inbox Archive I assume that the mail resembling binary has been compacted, but it appears that Thunderbird cannot un-compact the messages. Need some help, please.

Hello, I have selcted the option "Expunge" under Settings -> Server-Settings -> Message-Storage. The intention was to delete messages from the server of ma Email-Provider (GMX). Unintentionally however, the result was, that instead, the Messages have been deleted from my local computer. Can I recover them? They do not appear in the Recycle Bin.

I am using Version 149.0.2 (64-Bit) on a Windows Computer.

I (reluctantly) migrated my xfinity email account to yahoo and in the process of getting Thunderbird to access the yahoo account, it wiped out ALL of my folders. The folders are still there and accessible in yahoo but no longer show up in Thunderbird. Is there an easy way to fix this and get Thunderbird to show the folders? Thanks.

My computer crashed with mozilla open.

when i restarted it i opened up mozilla. I gave an error of unable to write to the email box. I'm not sure if it crashed or I exited out of it at that point. when i reopened it up no error but my primary email box was empty. Years worth of emails that included pictures and other important stuff.

Trash is still there, as are the archive section of the folder.... just everything in the inbox itself is gone.

It didn't throw an error upon reopening, and just downloaded emails from the pop server like normal, except now the fold only consists of the 6 new messages.

Is it just gone? or is there some way to recover it. No i don't back up the mozilla folders, so unless it does it in an automatic way i don't have a backup.

I already tried the fix folder in the properties and it did nothing, likely just seeing hte current 6 emails in the folder as all there was.

I have Thunderbird on Windows 11. I have been using Local folders for a long time without any problems. I now find that if I try to delete subfolders in Local folders, they reappear as if they had not been deleted. This applies to any mails I have received since 28th January 2026. Could this be associated with a windows update?

I need to automatically apply message filters on all messages when copied to a subfolder (in Local Folders) with other filters from other folders and accounts. I copy e-mails to specific subfolder placed in Local folders from several Inboxes. My filters for this subfolder work but only manually applied. The existing conditions when to apply filters do not cover copying messages (copying is not getting new mail or archiving etc) . When i apply filters manually they work but next time i apply manually again all messages are effected - filters does not work only ones as when getting new mail. Is there any way to create filters working automatically and ones applied on some message not to effect it again when filter applied again to this subfolder?

i would love to get Thunderbird to have the same items as Classic Outlook. I'm 77 years old and I've had a stroke, so I take lots of time writing this. Is there anyone who can help me?

When I drag an email from the inbox to a subfolder for that account it disappears from the inbox and doesn't reappear in the destination folder. Started fairly recently. Search can't locate it. Moving using the menus also doesn't work most of the time.

I want to get a list of email senders to an email account in Thunderbird as it is going to be closed and I want to notify those who still use it. Is there a way to do this?

This is a POP account and the emails are only available in Thunderbird.

I installed Thunderbird on a new computer running Windows 11. I use Thunderbird for 14 email accounts. I have set the folder view to "Unified Folders." In the Inbox, emails from different accounts appear twice—sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. These emails are not duplicates; in the folders for each individual account, the emails are all displayed only once. I don't have this problem on my old computer—same Windows, same Thunderbird, looks exactly the same. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

All emails in my trash folder disappeared. I do not know if this is due to something I did, or some other reason. Is there any way to restore the deleted emails?
