I like to sort my mail using the menu functions

Unfortunately, for some time now, the "Recent Destinations" list remains very small and most folders, regardless of how recently I moved messages to them, do not show up on the list.

I have tried quitting TB, deleting folderCache.json, but that makes no difference. The list stays the same, and it does not get updated for most folders.

Maybe that approach is no longer a panacea :-) and there is some other way to fix this?

All emails in my trash folder disappeared. I do not know if this is due to something I did, or some other reason. Is there any way to restore the deleted emails?

I have at least one file that won't display on Version 149. However, the file and it's MSF are both still on my hard drive. I've tried a lot of things to get it to display, but nothing has helped.

Hi, I have changed my PC and in setting up Thunderbird I find I can only add two accounts. I cannot find a way to add that third address and account. I am looking for help with that, please.

When attempting to set up an e-mail account for Zoho e-mail I get an authentication error. It says: "Unable to log in. Probably wrong configuration, username of password." I disabled Account Hub, tried again, but this did not solve the problem, and I get the same authentication error. I tried several other things, using manual configuration, copying instructions from the Zoho website, but none of them worked. They all ended with the error message, "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." The server and port settings are correct. The username and password are correct. What is the problem?

I was not receiving emails from a Comcast.net email account. I called Best Buy and they used remote access to fix the problem. That fix included deleting and reinstalling the email account. After hanging up with their tech, I notices that dozens of folders and thousands of emails from the last 12 years were gone. I called the Geek Squad back and they could not solve the problem. Are the missing emails still on my computer somewhere? If not, can Comcast recover them? Please help!

All old cmptr usb ports fail.. copied most data to new computer but Moz. Thndrbrd did not copy. Installed NEW Tndrbrd and got mail, but only last 4 weeks or so since failure. Copied ALL Moz. Thndrbrd files from old to Thumb drive. Old system had 70 files, 10 folders (11*.exe, 31 *dll, 4*ini, 297MB) and 5 single element files. New Thnddrbrd has 72 files, 12 folders, 55.7MB. Could find NO hidden files / folders on either unit. Suspect all recoverable OLD mail on thumb drive but do not know how to recover. H E L P ! ! Win 11 running on Dell Vostro laptop, I recently updated to Thunderbird Version 149.0.2 (64 Bit) Beta. PLEASE NOTE been using Thunderbird Email client for 5 yrs now always kept it updated to latest version ... Most recently updated to version above... Now in Local Folders lists a DELETED folder ,and instead of a SENT folder , seems it has been replaced by a new folder tagged OUTBOX. I have no problem with that if my previously sent items over many yrs use, where displayed there, but nope.... content zero.

If I use the search facility in Thunderbird it finds most recent and previous messages list of my emails for that one recipient searched for only . However would be much happier if I could just see all SENT items in one folder under LOCAL FOLDERS , TAGGED INBOX or SENT .... I dont mind how its tagged .

So in conclusion I am not a computer wizard if a fix is known for this I kindly ask. Please provide step by step instruction in your answer .

Or do I wait till next Thunderbird software update for a solution ?

New emails to some accounts appear as duplicates in the unified folder. I suspected it may be connected to the fact I use "All Mail" as the archive folder for a Gmail account, but now the problem is happening with a Proton account as well. When I restart Thunderbird, or deactivate and reactivate the Unified folders view, they no longer appear as duplicates.

I am using Thunderbird 149.0.2 on Windows 11. The issue started a few weeks ago. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have Thunderbird version 149.0.1 installed and set up to display the Classic View, showing the Folder pane, Message List Header pane, and the Message pane. I have two accounts - my email account and Local Folders. All my email is routed to the Local Folders for storage on the PC. I have a number of messages in the Local Folders Inbox, and the headers show in the Message List Header pane. This message header is marked as read, and as spam, but I can not do anything with it. I can not change the status (either to unread, or not span), nor can I delete it. The actual message appears to have been deleted - if I select the header, the Message pane is either blank, or displays the message previously selected. If I open the message a new tab, the contents are blank, and if I select View Message Source, that window is empty (blank). I have restarted Thunderbird several, once in Windows safe mode, and that header remains. I can read all the other messages in the Inbox, change their status, or delete them. The attached image shows the shows the message in question as selected.

How do I delete that (@#$I*@%#@$%) message header? Thanks to anyone who can help!

I have followed all instructions I can find through many searches online but cannot get my outlook email to configure in Thunderbird. First, I have no option to chose OAuth2 even though I have deleted any outlook passwords, email accounts, and Thunderbird is up to date. I have received so many error messages I cant keep track. Bottom line, all my other email accounts configure find except for outlook. Any help would be appreciated Steven Pecoraro

The other day previews of messages quit working in Local Folders>Inbox. New messages will show the preview, but not any of the older messages. The preview area is just blank. I drew an arrow to the preview area.

Windows 11 - Thunderbird 148.0

In received message bodies previous replies are blank. If I select and drag an area in the desired reply the content of the reply magically appears. I've attached two images of this behavior. What setting may be causing this?
