Been to various sites for diag info. I have uninstalled antivirus and tried it, no joy. I have done all the following to each folder - compess, repair, deleted old emails, etc. (I actually have rules that are to do this automatically). I have captured config info, uninstalled and installed fresh. Still have the problem. -- and finally restored so I still have email addresses, etc. etc. This problem has started for me with in the past 2 weeks.

1) ALSO note: I am running W11 home. Mozilla keeps calling this W10. I do not know what the difference is between Home and Pro, but I am planning to upgrade to PRO within 2 months (looking for a reasonable deal on the cost of the upgrade). 2) Wife's computer is W11 Pro, she does not have the problem.

When I try to manually delete all my browsing history from the browsing history icon, firefox locks up and nothing happens until I click my mouse button and I get the message box stating that Firefox is not responding and it gives me two choices, close the program or wait for firefox to respond-

- However I think it may be to do with a recent bookmark entry stored in the bookmarks bar?? The website is a national UK hardware store and it seems to open OK. I cannot be sure but I think the problem started after I added this bookmark. It is a real nuisance and I have had to switch to Edge. Please advise how I might fix the problem.

I'm running TB on Windows 11 on a Dell Desktop machine. It's a pretty basic installation with EE Cyber security, which is I think Norton. I've been using TB for a couple of years but recently it has almost stopped working. I notice from Task Manager that TB is massively leaking memory and consuming much CPU time. I don't think I have any add-ons and I only use TB for email. It's now so bad that I'm even unable to go into TB's Settings or Tools or anything else. I've tried creating an exclusion for TB profiles and TB.exe in the Norton. I've tried starting TB in troubleshoot mode but all to no avail. I have it in IMAP, Port 993, SSL/TLS for incoming mail and Port 465, SSL/TLS, Authentication Required for Outgoing mail. I'm currently often unable to even access mail previously downloaded to the local Mail folders, TB is just hanging with the bar in the lower right corner endlessly running along. Most puzzling of all, is that very occasionally is starts working again and then I dare not switch the machine off! It's become an indeterminate system. Please help, I'm nearly eighty and trying to organize my holiday, which is needs email to make bookings. Thanks in anticipation.

I am running Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 laptop. When I download new messages and try and open them my laptop locks up. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks Dave

I've been having an issue where Firefox Android keeps crashing whenever I tap the address bar. This happens when any tabs are open (even just 1) and even when I try to open a new tab to try and avoid the crashing.

The issue is consistent and repeatable for almost a year now. Thought updates would fix it as this issue was reported before. However, even after multiple updates, clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, and disabling all extensions the issue persists.

This is also not just limited to the address bar but also happens when I try to change the search engine from the quick switch on the address bar, search my bookmarks, history and settings, and sometimes when even trying to type into a website. While typing this post I backed away, closing the keyboard, when I clicked back into the text box to type the app crashed.

The only way for me to type in an address or search for something is to close all open tabs and then type into the address bar. Even a single open tab causes the app to crash repeatedly.

Pressing and holding on an image then selecting “save image” causes Firefox to crash on iOS. I checked the permissions to photos in iOS settings. I also tried to uninstall Firefox then reinstalled, same issue. I tried clearing the cache in Firefox settings

Question is all there is, why does Firefox 153.0 x64 CRASH COMPLETELY and Windows 11 x64 "App Crash Reporting" is automatically invoked, 3 out of 4 times a simple "History - Clear History - Clear Everything" function is implemented??

Legacy Win 7 Pro machines were just upgraded (had no choice but to run them) and FF performance was fine with legacy laptops eight years old. The FF version was much older. With much faster machines and Win 10 running 152.x, now 153.0, there are chronic chokes with FF. Tab crashes. Videos NEVER loading, chronic rebooting etc. -- it just doesn't seem to ever end. But it's not my decision. However -- the shitte rolls downhill right into my lap because nobody else has the patience. Please do not suggest paid 'support' again, because I would get laughed at, given the chronic problems to date over a number of years.

Hi my firefox just updated to version 153.0.1 on all 5 family computers some running win 11 and some win 10 and 2 win 11 pro. now we all experience firefox crashing and not loading pages. When we go to settings and select contact support it says the system crashed. Is there a way to roll back to a version that works without crashing without have to revert to goggle chrome or edge? regards Mal
