I wish to switch to a new primary laptop. I normally use multiple machines in the course of a day. I have probably hundreds of open tabs on my main computer and even though I checked "Open Tabs" for sync, they never show on my other devices.

Following previous help recommendations I searched for the json sessions file...it doesn't exist anywhere on my system. The only other "help" was to "tap" tabs in the lower right corner. There is nothing in the lower right corner unless, perhaps on a phone, which isn't the device in question.

Suddenly none of my cashback extensions will activate, I click them but they are still inactive when I check. I have tried disabling ad-blocking and resetting everything all-time as far as history, ache, etc. Has there been some recent change that I can make adjustments for? I would rather not use Chrome.

I went through the process of importing all of my old profiles into the new profile manager and I, for one, am stoked that we are joining the big leagues with regards to profile management. This has been a feature that I have been waiting for for quite some time now. I have an extension that allows me to easily switch between the old profiles but a proper, built in solution was necessary.

That is until I launched Firefox the next day and was greeted with my work profile instead of my personal profile. I started digging through the settings and it seems that this is the intended default behavior for profiles. The last profile you had open is the profile that will open by default.

It's fine if the developers want that to be the default but what I also find strange is that I cannot, for the life of me, find a way to change this behavior on Windows. I found it on Linux (I think??) but I dont see a flag for it in the usual places. Maybe I missed it. That is why I am here.

1.) Is there a way to change this default behavior for the new profile manager? 2.) If not, can we plan to add that feature? Currently, this behavior makes the new profile system unusable for me because I need my browser to open to my personal profile when I open a new window.

i want to set randome images for background on about:home and about:newpage i dont want to use extensions because it adding "Extension (name)" text in searchbar, also it changes firefox image near "new tab" text. i tryed to make userContent.css in chrome folder in profiles but it can do only 1 image. i cant make JS working for randome images. How to make userChrome.js working or how to remove "Extension (name)" from searchbar?

mozilla was good but idonno why this time all goen just by one click after i opened and clicked on download.or update button,that topright of screen pops EVERYTIME.wue!well,idk wht but w.o any clicks..miss clicks or whtevr,all tabs are remains but with out adressz or able to open.just nothing happening,like empty,umm,blank tabs.

i have all ma tabs bookmarks cuz it was important to me.bu idk how to open back all of them.ther are many and iv see many tabs in my history,but i wants last opened of a site,not all times i openes and many duplicates,not last time and not a click for all..

It seems lately that about 40-60% of the links I click on do not work while browsing on Firefox. Most of these are links from trusted sources, many from subscriptions services I'm paying for, and thus unable to gain access to. I will get an error message saying something like "secure setting failed," or something similar (see attachment). Is this something new added to Firefox for added security? And I read some solutions in the settings area, but it seems like most of them can't be bypassed. It's very frustrating because many of these links have valuable info or tools that I can't access. Do you have any advice other than to contact the sender (which rarely results in a solution)? Thank you, Paul Fernandes

A couple of updates ago, I received the message that some of my bookmarks will not be available. So I ran through the trouble shooting FAQs and I ran into a problem. When I go into Manage Bookmarks and it brings up my now empty library, when I select Import/Backup then Restore, it will not show me any files to restore from. Additionally, I used Fx File Utilities and it show the corrupt entry that I cannot remove, but allows me to export the json file to an html file so I can import it, but once again, when I select Import from HTML, it shows me no available files to restore from. Lastly, I imported the html file in to Chrome and then tried the option to import from another browser, but again, it will not allow me to select anything.

I have confirmed the integrity of the db as instructed, etc. So I have run out of options. How can I get my 15+ years of bookmarks back?

I need to find how how check if cookies are enabled on my Firefox browser

No bookmarks, says in use by another application. Tried all troubleshooting ideas Can't change name or delete places or favicons - again says in use by another application. Disabled all add-on security.

Download not adding a number to like files when saving. For instance (mycardexp.doc if I download the same named file tomorrow mycardexp.doc it use to add a number like mycardexp(1).doc FF has stopped adding the number showing that multiple files by the same name exist and how many.

Is there a way to hide bookmark names? I have several bookmarks that I keep in the bookmarks toolbar, and I can keep more links there only if I were able to hide bookmark names. I know what the link icon goes to, I just want the space without having to reduce the names of the bookmarks to a few letters. It would be even better if the name I set the bookmark to would appear when the mouse hovers over the link icon.

Why are you NOT clearing browsing data. I click on clear browsing data. Temp Cached files goes to zero. When I open a new browser that data still remains. I insist that you clear data for real not just for show!

15/12/2025 I need to sync my firefox data from my old windows 10 laptop to my new windows 11 laptop. Do I have to download the firefox app on to my new laptop before I can sync it, and will I need a new password if I have to download the app. Im using my old password on my old laptop to write this. On the new laptop, I tried to sign into firefox on the internet but, it said my password is wrong. I'm an oldie and have no idear what to do. Iwill be very grateful for any help. Many Thanks,
