Sometime in the past few weeks the quality of any video I watch from any source has turned awful. Too much contrast, too vibrant. I checked all my settings on my monitor, and all is as it should be. I'm a photographer and aware of image quality and settings. Still images are perfect and the monitor displays stills correctly. My monitors are working fine. When I checked videos via Google Chrome, they all displayed perfectly. So, I can only deduce that it's a Firefox browser issue. I haven't added any new add-ons or extensions. I know that the browser has updated at least twice in recent weeks.

I have attached a screen shot of the difference between a chrome and firefox video. Please help. I don't want to change to using chrome. Thanks in advance.

when playing videos, firefox makes the videos much darker and higher contrast than the original videos, as well as maxing out the cpu on my laptop when playing video, started a day ago or so.

We have set up exceptions for mail.google.com and accounts.google.com in Settings. Yet, Gmail is still asking for passwords to log in and saving them. I thought I had done all it would take to have Gmail remember them. Am I missing something?

Also, we cleared cache.

What it says on the tin, booted up my computer, started Firefox, had it apparently update and then the tabs were suddenly like this. It's functional and just looks weird, I guess, but it really bothers me. Any way to fix it? Thanks in advance!

I will just skip to the meat of it this time. I'm getting this error while working from my localhost. I have been working on a personal project for years with this set up with no issues until today. I can no longer click on the errors in the console log and be directed to the Debugger tab. When I click on errors, nothing happens. If I try to open them in a New Tab, I get the error below:

The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (webpack) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

   You might need to install other software to open this address.

I have also noticed firefox does not even load all the files until I refresh it at least twice. Even when it is all loaded properly, the error persists.

I have tried: - restarting firefox - restarting my computer - clearing ALL cache and cookies - running firefox in safe mode - disabling all add ons - disabling performance mode (was already off) - checking network.protocol-handler.external.javascript = false (it is)

Let me know if there is any other information I can provide. I really dislike having to work in chrome for this so I hope I can find a solution as soon as possible.

hello i have around 30+ themes and i want to delete all of themes (because i want to keep the favorite ones ) but if i delete them one by one takes time , is there any option to delete them all at once i haven't found anything on internet

My bookmarks are in the list, but URLs which are not bookmarked are also in the list. (I say some of the entries are not bookmarks because there is no blue star if I double click on them.)

Hi, I know I'm just missing something basic here, but coming from the Chrome world I'm having a tough time with the bookmarks. I am accustomed to seeing all of my bookmark folders when I select the arrows at the end of my bookmarks toolbar. In Firefox I don't see that. I can see those folders under the bookmarks toolbar in the bookmark manager, but I would love to just be able to click on the arrows on the end of the bookmarks toolbar and have them drop down just like they did in Chrome. Do I have it all wrong? Do I always have to have my bookmark manager open to be able to bounce from bookmark to bookmark? Thanks in advance for any help.

after 3 years I finally did a complete reset (all folders were kept, only full software reset) of my system hoping that Firefox Sync would after I reinstall Firefox and put in my registration data remember all my bookmarks / logins. However, after my login there is nothing there. I have the suspicion that Firefox thinks I just deleted all my bookmarks and it updated to Firefox Sync accordingly not with an empty space. I still have the data on my android phone which hasnt done a synchronization yet. Any help you guys can give me? Took quite some time to get all my setup arranged.

When I type about.config in the address bar, I just see search results for it, instead of going to the config page. I tried enabling a separate search bar in settings, and also turned off all suggestions, but that did not help. I still see the spyglass search icon on the address bar. How do I get past it?

I have been using code (stored in the Chrome folder of my profile) to keep the 'open application menu' pancake button on the left end of the toolbar. After I updated to version 113.0.1 today, I see that button shifted back to the right end of the bar. I do NOT want it there. Can you fix it so the code will work again? Is there alternate code or some other means to accomplish the same end?

Could you please help me how I can add it there, so mailto events will use my installed outlook client?

Accidentally clicked on the Add-ons widget on the right side of the menu bar and now "add-ons manager" web page opens every time I open Firefox.

How do I stop that page from loading?

I use Pinterest quite a bit and somehow a great deal of pins have disappeared.

This happened once before when I was using Chrome, and I was able to go digging into my cached files and find the cached versions of the thumbnails of my Pins, so I could somewhat recreate them based on that.

I'm not sure how to go about that with Firefox. Would any information (specifically images) be stored from a previous version of a webpage?

I've just had to completely reinstall windows without being able to backup my files (I couldn't launch my computer in order to actually back them up) meaning I've lost my recovery codes. I thought this would be fine as I could just sign back into firefox on this new install of Windows but as it turns out I must've forgotten to put my sign in information into my password manager. Again, I thought this would be okay as I still have access to the email I used to sign up to my firefox sync but I got the message saying I'd lose my data which isn't fine and now I'm at a bit of a loss. I've had to use a spare email to make an account and ask here but I'd really love my old account back. Is there any way at all I can get back into my account without losing my bookmarks and passwords? If not, how much information would I end up actually losing? I'm slightly unclear on that part. Do I lose absolutely everything? I'm a bit stressed about all of this ontop of losing all of my old computer files so I'm sorry if this is a commonly asked question but I was struggling to find anything that helped me D:

i cant move the tabs around in the task bar. my firefox version is up to date, but yesterday-ish my laptop forcibly updated itself. its still on windows ten, but thats the only thing i can think of other than installing a kidpix four emulator that may have caused the problem

Since `monospace` means something diffrent on every device, and I need consistency between clients I use `Roboto Mono` on my Website as ASCII-Art font. For some reason Firefox on Windows cannot render the font properly (view image). What can i do to fix this? The problem presists across my desktop and Laptop. How do I permanently remove this new Bing search engine from Firefox Browser? I don't like Bing. I go into settings, and change my default search engine to Google. But, the moment I search for something it shows that its Bing in the top left corner of the page. I can't get rid of it. Please help! I really don't like Bing! It has never fully helped me find what I'm looking for, or been thorough when searching for what something means. Can you please help me remove Bing from Firefox Browser? I sent 2 images showing what I mean. The first shows me wanting to use google to search for a word. And, in the second is what happens after I do that. You can clearly see Microsoft Bing in the top left corner. Thank You for any and all of your help & time!

in the manifest.json of the extension, it does open the settings.html page as intended. Problem is that no JS script on settings.html works, be it if it's inline HTML or as a separate file (I tried separate file, as I thought it might be a security thing).

I mean even simple JS such as console.log or

Other actually installed extensions - their JS on settings pages runs.

I also tried running settings.html as a popup, and I succesfully done so, it's just that once again JS didn't work...

I'm at my wits end, I have googled, I have chatted with the ChatGPT, took me hours thinking it was something wrong with my code... I'm actually making something useful, never done before (it reads out youtube subtitles via TTS, providing ability to still hear original sound, its emotions, no need to look at the screen and it's also a passive language learning type of thing), and it works, it's just that setting page's JS, which I think I need to allow users change speed of TTS and volume of the TTS

After update to Firefox 113, the width size of search-engine-textbox on Overflow Menu is no full size anymore.

Before update to Firefox 113 (version 112 or older), the width size is still normal: full size; like search-engine-textbox on Toolbar.
