I've been having an issue for a while now where the cloudflare challenges that ask you to click the check mark to "verify your connection is secure" would just endlessly ask me to click the button and never continue. Sometimes it would say to unblock access to challenges.cloudflare.com.

But if I a launch an incognito window I can visit website with the challenge and it won't even ask! I've added all my extensions to run in incognito mode and everything still works, I can visit the websites in incognito just fine. So the one changing variable is incognito vs non-incognito.

I can have two windows open, one incognito and one not, and browse to the same website and the non-incog window will fail but the incog will just go to the site.

I thought incognito was supposed to only affect the session storage? Does it silently change other things to the running environment of the browser (about:config options, slightly different extension configs)?

Anyone know why this small change would suddenly allow cloudflare challenges to work?

When you open a link from the sidebar while holding ctrl, firefox opens it in a new tab and switches to it immediately; whereas when you click a link from a webpage with ctrl, it does not switch to the new tab (unless you hold shift as well, or check "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" in settings > general > tabs). I would like if firefox does not automatically switch to opened links from the sidebar (history, bookmark, etc.), when I open them with ctrl? (I know I can hold shift to do that, but I was wondering if there might be a preference in about:config to change the reverse this behaviour for sidebars)

Thanks, Ibr.

I'm trying to use Microsoft Teams in Firefox because the native app for Linux is abandoned and crashes, and at first sight the app is blocking Firefox on purpose. Buttons to make calls are disabled, stating that audio and video are not supported in my browser, but everything works normally if join to existing calls using e.g. links.

Is it possible to trick Teams to think I'm using Chrome? I found the "User-Agent Switcher and Manager" add-on, but I can't figure out how to possibly use it.

I clicked Save Changes. I retried the My.Yahoo tab again and the same error resulted. Where do I need to change what preferences, Yahoo or Total Adblock?

I was having trouble switching and logging out of Twitter so I thought I could just clear site cookies to make it work, but I weirdly discovered "about:preferences -> Manage Data -> Remove Selected / Remove All Shown" has no effect. i.e. after clearing, when I open up manage data again, they are still there. I did not try "Clear Data" above it because I was afraid of clearing out all my logins.

I reinstalled my computer several weeks ago and current profile was directly copied from my last machine, so this might be a possible cause? Could someone be so kind to help me get remove cookies and hopefully twitter back to work? Thank you in advance.

Hello. I recently moved from windows to Linux Mint, and noticed the behavior of the Picture in Picture window is different when resizing. On windows, the aspect ratio is kept. while on Linux, it is free form, making these black bars around the video, so I have to resize it very carefully to not show any black bars.

How can I make the PiP on Linux behave like on Windows? That means resizing keeping the aspect ratio.

Attached are the comparisons between Windows and Linux Mint.

Thank you very much!

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I am using Firefox for Linux, and whenever my yubikey is plugged in, firefox will start bothering me for a pkcs#11 password. It always happens on start-up but it gets relentlessly annoying if I happen to be on a site which potentially utilizes certificate auth, which I do not use this yubikey for.

I do however use it for 2fa, which does work perfectly fine.

How do I permanently stop whatever Firefox process keeps bothering me about this PKCS#11 password for functionality that I never use?

We've recently migrated our Electron app to running a firefox kiosk application on our IoT devices. And one thing that has been happning is that this "Open previous tabs?" banner shows up after closing/reopening firefox. We've configured the following:

lockPref("browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo", 0); lockPref("browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo", 0); lockPref("browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes", 0); lockPref("browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash", false); lockPref("browser.sessionstore.collect_session_storage", false); lockPref("browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand", false);

But the banner (which seems to be for onboarding users) does still appear, does anyone know what preferences we are missing?

Hello everyone,

I've been using Firefox for quite some time and I always keep a bunch of windows open throughout a few workspaces on my laptop. However, this takes up a lot of resources and looks very messy. So, I've been thinking of writing a script/extension to simply store all the open links in a window to a named list that I can, then, come back to when I need and reopen. That way, I could possibly have different lists, separated by topic and stored in a single place.

I'm sorry if there is an obvious solution for this, I saw a couple of similar questions have been asked before, but none that I could use as reference.

Thank you for your time, have a nice week!
