In version 146.0.1, or perhaps even earlier, I noticed that if you set a Primary Password to log in to the browser, you can reset it and log in simply by clicking the "Cancel" button. This allows you to access all of your user tabs and links. I hadn't noticed this before. It defeats the purpose of setting a Primary Password. I noticed similar issues in the Tor browser, but you can't set a Primary Password there at all, even though the feature is there, and it's built on the Fire Fox engine. Please fix this issue. No buttons should allow you to log in without entering the correct Primary Password.

I received an email from breach-alerts@mozilla.com informing me that Mozilla Monitor⁩ discovered a data breach that includes my personal information: Unfortunately, I don't know if this is a legitimate email from Mozilla. Can anyone confirm if it is or is not?

Windows 11: I have file download setting set to: "always ask where to save". I choose the location and folder when the save file box opens. The document is saved in the location I chose BUT it also saves to the desktop. How do I stop a duplicate download from saving to the desktop?

Saving a bookmark to a specific folder has never worked in Firefox. Never!

Add bookmark > Location > Choose > search the specific folder > the scrollbar does not move down!

You can search (browse) the specific folder with the scroll wheel of the mouse, with the arrow key of the keyboard, you can slide the scrollbar up and down with the *very small* arrows on the scrollbar, but you cannot slide the scrollbar with the most essential and easiest way by moving it up and down with the mouse. By that I mean: clicking the scrollbar with the left mouse button and move it down and up.

THIS HAS NEVER WORKED IN FIREFOX. It works just randomly. Sometimes very rarely it works, usually it doesn't work. Why is that?

Firefox 147, Windows 11.

I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

REPEATING IMAGES involving . Macbook Air M4 Tahoe 26.2

When sliding from the primary Mac screen to another on the same computer the Firefox image (and ONLY that image) is duplicated on each additional screen image loaded making the use of multiple screens virtually useless.

I am running W11 (HOME). FF is acting like I am running W10 (I keep getting info on needing to upgrade to W11).

Now to the real problem:

It appears since I upgraded FF to 146.0.1 64 bit, FF seems to have problems pulling up password/ids that haven't been used for a while. It actually can't find them as if they had never been used. The number of "passwords" it lists is rather small (like 8). This is causing me to have to go through lost password routines.

Any idea what or why this is happening?

Loading website for BacaPoa.frontsteps.com does not work, now fails ("not secured") . This is business site I have for years.? [windows 11] Is the a bypass or override I can do? JR

I have changed operating systems from windows to linux mint. I made sure to sync my profile before uninstalling, but now the profile looks to be empty. there are no saved passwords or bookmarks. This worked when I changed between different windows devices last year, but this time it seems stuck. I will check on a windows device when able, but in the meantime, are there any other ways to troubleshoot this?
