Since the last update, my bookmarks sidebar does not open automatically when I open Firefox. A minor annoyance, perhaps, but an annoyance nonetheless, especially since it used to work until Firefox monkeyed around with it unnecessarily.

Every help I've found gives the same answer: Make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is checked "Always Show." Well, it is checked, it was never unchecked, except that I tried unchecking and rechecking it in the vain hope that it would jumpstart something.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is it cursed forever?

I have Firefox ver. 138.0.1. Since this update I can't find a way to open my bookmarks on the sidebar and keep it there. I can open it by going to View-Sidebar-Bookmarks. But I have to do this every time I sign into my Firefox. I like working with my bookmarks open on the left side all the time. I am sincerely hoping the update did not do away with that feature.

Last night my computer asked me to install an update (not sure if it was Mac or Firefox whose upgrade it was). Although when I restarted, it's closed out all of my firefox windows (does not allow me to restore session), and all of my book marks are also gone.

Is there any way to get these back?

Hello, I recently had 20+ tabs open in Firefox. I moved 1 tab of the 20 to be a separate page and closed the other tabs. Now I am unable to re-open the other tabs through the 'Recently Closed Tab' feature. That feature only shows a few new tabs I opened on the separate page. Is the only option to painstakingly search through history over several months to re-open several tabs I had open for several months? Thank you the feedback, Ken

In the top right corner of tab bar, a message of Finish Setup. In the pop up window all area's are check off green. I don't know what it wants and to locate page to Finish Setup

I don't care for your service when you want to make me upgrade software every month and limit the websites I can go to. I'll have to start using another browser to get away from you. You're seem like a bunch of commies.

Ever since the beginning of March, my earthlink email no longer functions on my Firefox 48.0.2 via my Macintosh 10.6.8 laptop. Instead, I get the following message....

YOUR CONNECTION IS NOT SECURE The owner of support.mozilla.org has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

What gives? I didn't have ANY issues prior to May 1.

Hello, I'm a blind, screen reader user. I've used FireFox and Thunderbird for years. In the last month-ish something has changed in the Update Dialog for both apps, that asks if you want to allow the app to make changes to your hard drive. With Jaws and NVDA screen readers, this dialog has normally spoken, so I can Tab to the Yes button, press Enter, the update happens and all is well. Suddenly, this dialog doesn't speak... not a word. Don't know where I am at all. I've tried pressing Alt-Y, which is a Windows accessibility standard for pressing a Yes button, but that hasn't worked in the past, and doesn't work now. I am blessed with a sighted husband. When this dialog has come up in FireFox and Thunderbird the last month, he has kindly bailed me out and clicked Yes. But this is a nightmare accessibility problem. Using only a screen reader there is no way out of this. Escape doesn't get rid of the dialog and just not update. The dialog sits on the screen, not speaking until you take some action. In fact, the first time this happened I couldn't figure out what was going on, but tried to handle it myself. Nothing talked, so in the middle of things, I used the power button to shut down. Well... we think I shut down in the middle of the app attempting to update. So my laptop came up with an error on the screen, and we actually had to use my husband's computer to get into my Microsoft account and dig up a huge numeric code that would allow my laptop to boot. It was bad and took a long time, and my husband is a saint. So... something changed about a month ago in the Update Dialogs for both FireFox and Thunderbird, that causes them to no longer be readable by screen readers. There is not a keyboard way to just press Yes. There's not actually a way to know for sure that the reason the computer won't talk is because this Update Dialog is sitting on the screen. The developers need to know this has happened and fix it. I don't know any other way to reach them. Thanks!

This happens sporadically, and seems to resolve itself without restarting the browser or even closing any tabs.

This happens on multiple sites, from search engines to Google Docs to Reddit: any time I try to copy text I get switched to a random tab. This has happened to me 5 times as of now, some of those occurring after a reboot. I can't turn off the "Find in Page" or ctrl f function in Firefox. Everytime I type something the bottom bar pops up making Firefox impossible to use. Can anyone help? I've been at this for 2 days now and I am forced to using MS Edge as browser.

I DON'T KNOW IF I CHOSE CORRECT TOPIC, BUT I CHOSE THE DARK READER MODE THINKING IT MIGHT BE USEFUL FOR MY EYES. I am 82 years old and have Essential Tremor. I am on medications but my hands still shake enough to give me problems with your audio volume sliders.

Is there a way to make the audio volume sliders wider?

On MacOS, in order to set keyboard shortcut, I need to know the exact name for the feature. But I can't find tab navigations in Firefox's menu.

For example, in Chrome, they have a menu called "Tab" and there is "Select Next Tab" and "Select Previous Tab" in the menu. That are the names I need to set keyboard shortcut. But I can't find the equivalent in Firefox.

From the screenshot, the keyboard shortcut works for Chrome, but not working for Firefox as I don't have the exact name for tab navigation.
